The United Way of Peterborough and District has officially launched its 2019 campaign.
President Jim Russell announced the fundraising goal of $1.75-million earlier this morning.
He says that the community in Peterborough is always so giving, in more ways than one.
United Way also named its chair much earlier than usual this year when it announced that David Goyette would take the reigns for the 2019-2020 campaign. Goyette says United Way is changing it up as well with a new approach.
In 2018-2019, the campaign raised a total of $1.735-million.
