As organizations around the province try and figure out the best way to minimize the impact of the COVID-19, the local sporting community is also responding.
The Peterborough Youth Soccer Club has decided that it will be doing away with traditional post-game handshakes for the time being.
Families are also being encouraged to pack individual snacks instead of sharing with the team.
Officials say the situation will be constantly monitored ahead of the start of the outdoor soccer season on May 18th.
