A drug raid at a home on McDonnel Street has led to the seizure of drugs, a weapon and cash.
The search took place yesterday, and police say they found a loaded handgun, cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, a large quantity of Canadian currency, cellular devices, and weigh scales.
As a result of the investigation the following persons were arrested and charged:
33 year old Christopher DaCosta of Scarborough:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Fentanyl
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition - Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
38 year old David Graves of Peterborough:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on July 2, 2020.
23 year old Taylor McLean of Scarborough:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Fentanyl
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition
- Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
- Failure to comply with release order
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court later today (April 23).
58 year old Stuart Smith of no fixed address:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on July 2, 2020.
31 year old Alicia Walling of Kitchener:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
