The ending of an era has happened at the Peterborough Family Health Team.
Executive Director Lori Richey has served her final day in the role and is looking forward to retirement and some new challenges.
Richey was one of the very first employees of the health team nearly 15- years ago and under her watch, it developed into an organization with a multi-million dollar budget and over 100 staff members.
Within the health team’s model, there are supports in place for family doctors and patients receive care at the clinics that are part of five FHOs located throughout the county.
Richey has been a champion for the development of mental health programs, the virtual care clinic and doctor recruitment for the area.
