It is Community Builders Day on PTBOToday.ca presented by Community Futures Peterborough.
‘You can never go home again’ is a saying that has been around for generations, but one local community builder is proving that’s not always the case.
Martin Yuill is currently the Executive Director of Cleantech Commons, an 85- acre park for clean, green & low-carbon technology research, innovation, entrepreneurship & commercialization, hosting a cluster of growth companies and start-up & spinout ventures.
Once upon a time, Yuill served as the President and CEO of the Greater Peterborough Innovation Cluster but left to take a job with Emergence, a national bioscience business incubator headquartered in Charlottetown, PEI.
After a few years out east, Yuill decided the time was right to come back and oversee all operations, functions and activities of Cleantech Commons at Trent University and be responsible for providing strategic direction for the research park and implementing a progressive vision for its future.
