The Peterborough Petes have received commitments from a pair of second round picks.
On Friday, the team announced deals with Sam Alfano and Justin DeZoete.
Alfano, who was selected 23rd overall, served as captain of the Southern Tier Minor Midget AAA Admirals last season. He registered 36 goals and 63 points in 32 games.
Meantime, DeZoete picked up 25 goals and 30 assists for 55 points during his campaign.
General Manager Mike Oke says while he continues to add depth, there are still spots open in all positions, so he’s expecting and looking forward to a very competitive training camp.
