The Peterborough Petes have welcomed a couple new faces to the organization.
On Tuesday, the team selected Brian Zanetti and Kaspars Ziemiņš in the 2020 CHL Import Draft with the 35th and 62nd overall selections.
Zanetti is a 6’2″, 172lbs defenceman, who played for HC Lugano U-20 Elit in Switzerland last season.
Ziemiņš is a forward and last played for HS Liga in the Latvian league and registered 8 goals and 3 assists for 11 points in 31 games.
General Manager Mike Oke says he’s very pleased with the selections as they enhanced organizational depth.
The Petes originally held the 43rd and 103rd overall selections but picked at 35th and 62nd overall as a result of teams passing on their selections.
