Sports success might not be the first thing to jump to the top of your mind when you think of Trent University, but it plays an important role on campus.
Deborah Bright-Brundle has been the Athletic Director at Trent since 2014 and has overseen many successes including an OUA women’s lacrosse championship in 2019.
Bright-Brundle says she has always had a passion for sports and is very fortunate to have made a career out of it. In addition to being the AD at Trent, she has also spent time with Special Olympics Canada and as President and CEO of the Abilities Centre in Whitby.
What exactly are the keys to success for a young woman trying to make her way in sports? Bright-Brundle says it’s important to build a good support team around you and to never be afraid of reaching out for help.
