The Peterborough Humane Society is still working towards it’s capital campaign goal of $10 million to build a new location.
Executive Director Shawn Morey says it’ll be a difference maker in Peterborough, and across Ontario.
Morey says they’re about 70 percent of the way there, and can start construction when 80 to 90 percent of funds have been raised.
Designed by Peterborough-based Lett Architects, the new centre will sit on 20 acres of land on Technology Drive.
