The fairlife facility in Peterborough has reached a milestone.
The plant has distributed its very first shipment of Canadian milk for production.
A statement put out by the company says this shipment marks the next step in our journey to begin locally producing fairlife products while supporting Canadian dairy farmers and contributing to our Peterborough community.
Officials say the goal is to give consumers the chance to enjoy 100 per cent Canadian ultrafiltered milk with 50 per cent more protein and 50 per cent less sugar than regular milk.
The $85 million facility is beside Minute Maid on Lansdowne Street West.
