The Peterborough Humane Society’s first attempt at the PTBO PAWlympics has been deemed a success.
The shelter says more than $25,000 was raised by 56 participants during September, as residents were challenged to walk their dogs and raise money.
Money from the fundraiser will be going back into the humane society, which sees 1700 animals a year receive medical care, food and spay/neuter services.
