Trent University was one of the first major institutes locally to see a positive COVID-19 case.
President Dr. Leo Groarke says it helped them convert to online learning rather quickly.
Groarke says the ability to move to online so quickly is a testament to the IT department at the university.
2020 also saw the school place as the number one undergraduate university in Ontario in the 2021 Maclean’s University Rankings. The university also took the top spot for the percentage of full-time instructional faculty with Ph.D.s.
