A COVID-19 outbreak is over at Golden Plough Lodge in Cobourg.
The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit declared the outbreak over last Tuesday night, after one staff member recently tested positive. There was no reported transmission to staff/residents.
Administrator Bill Detlor says the facility’s happy that the outbreak has ended – Health/safety protocols continue, including having personal protective equipment (PPE) available for all staff, twice-daily screening for all staff/residents and rapid antigen testing for staff. Visitor restrictions continue at the facility (only one essential caregiver is allowed) according to provincial health measures.
