The annual Peterborough Butterfly Run was held virtually as a week-long event this year, raising money and awareness for pregnancy loss.
Executive Committee Member Jennie Vanier says they raised quite a bit of money, which will help them in the future for more fundraisers.
Vanier says it’s important to expand the conversation around pregnancy loss, as it’s something lots of families are hesitant to open up about.
Last year there was no Butterfly Run because of the COVID-19 pandemic, however local families did decorate their porches purple to raise awareness about pregnancy loss.
