Dr. Rosana Salvaterra has been recognized by the Association of Local Public Health Agencies.
Peterborough’s top doctor has been honoured with the Distinguished Service Award, which is awarded each year to individuals in recognition of their significant contributions made to public health in Ontario.
Chair of the Peterborough County-City Board of Health, Andy Mitchell, says what stands out is her devotion to our community over the past 13 years, and her ability to advance important public health priorities.
Earlier this year, Salvaterra announced she’ll be retiring from her position as Medical Officer of Health later this year.
