The United Way is celebrating its annual ‘Day of Caring’.
Held for more than a decade now, the occasion is mean as an opportunity for volunteers to work together on local projects that build community awareness and make a tangible difference.
As part of the day, you’re encouraged to donate to a collection of school supplies for local students and a hygiene product drive. CEO Jim Russell says by supporting individuals with basic needs they are providing a sense of dignity to those who otherwise may not have access to these everyday items.
Donations can be dropped off at the United Way Peterborough office on Stewart Street between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
