It was a busy weekend for local campers.
Warsaw Caves saw 92% of sites booked and Beavermead Campground saw 87% for the opening weekend.
Officials with Otonabee Conservation, say campsites continue to book up quickly for the other weekends of summer.
While camping is now open, some of Otonabee Conservation’s amenities and services are still not available due to provincial guidelines. Boat rentals and picnic shelters are still not available and neither are showers and laundry facilities. Manager of Conservation Lands, Jessie James says they are hopeful that they will be able to expand services soon.
