The Peterborough Interagency Vaccine Planning Team has increased its target for fully immunized people.
Health officials now want to see 80 per cent of all eligible residents to have received both of their shots by September 1st.
As of yesterday, 54 per cent of local residents aged 12 and up were fully vaccinated.
Step 3 of Ontario’s Reopening Plan takes effect at 12:01 a.m., which allows many businesses and organizations to reopen and/or expand their services.
