It appears that Canadians will be going to the polls next month.
The federal election campaign could begin as early as this weekend, with voting day expected to be September 20th.
The prime minister is expected to trigger an election Sunday by asking the Governor General to dissolve Parliament.
Locally, Liberal MP Maryam Monsef will be seeking a third term in office. She’ll be opposed by Conservative Michelle Ferreri, New Democrat Joy Lachica and Chanté White of the Green Party.
