After plenty of criticism from her opponents, Conservative candidate Michelle Ferreri now has received her second dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
The Peterborough This Week reported on Friday that Ferreri had only received one shot, a story that was magnified in part because of pictures on social media of her campaigning at Princess Gardens Retirement Residence.
Liberal incumbent Maryam Monsef tweeted Ferreri’s choice to campaign door-to-door, at seniors’ residences, and at events demonstrates a clear lack of leadership, something NDP hopeful Joy Lachica agreed with and used the hashtag ‘shame’.
An all-candidates debate is being held tonight virtually on county business. The event is being put on by the Kawartha Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, the Lakefield Herald, Buckhorn Rate Payers Association and the Buckhorn Community Centre.
