Today is The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, recognized federally so Canadians can learn more about the country’s history with Indigenous Peoples.
Curve Lake First Nation Councillor Sean Conway says it’s a chance to learn how to be better.
Conway says there’s a ton of fantastic resources online to get educated on the history of Indigenous Peoples throughout Canada and some of the injustices they’ve faced. He says today is also a great chance to support some indigenous-owned businesses in the area.
