Peterborough Northumberland Crime Stoppers continues to play a key role in community policing.
The program has been serving our regions since 1987.
Detective Constable Keith Calderwood says allowing people to remain anonymous helps protect people who are hesitant of getting involved.
Calderwood says a common misconception is that the not-for-profit receives government funding.
