Mason McTavish has been named to Team Canada’s National Junior Team roster.
In four games with Peterborough this season, McTavish has scored five goals including a hat-trick on November 25th.
McTavish was selected third overall by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2021 NHL Draft and recorded three points and a +3 rating in nine outings.
The Petes’ forward does have international experience, serving as alternate captain at the 2021 U18 IIHF World Championship in Texas. He finished the tournament with 11 points.
Team Canada starts the tournament on Sunday, December 26th against Czech Republic at Rogers Arena in Edmonton.
