Peterborough Humane Society is ecstatic after a very successful inaugural Betty White Challenge.
Executive Director Shawn Morey says the challenge came about after White’s passing on New Years Eve.
He says in total, more than $20,000 was raised in one day during the challenge, which will go towards a number of programs locally.
The Betty White Challenge was done by hundreds of humane societies across North America Monday in honour of her 100th birthday.
