High Frequency Rail connecting Peterborough to a new corridor from Toronto to Quebec City is moving ahead to the next step in the procurement process.
Minister of Transport Omar Alghabra announced last Wednesday, that the federal government is launching a Request for Expressions of Interest seeking the advice and views from industry professionals on the project.
Chamber President and CEO Stu Harrison says High Frequency Rail is going to connect our communities in new ways, driving economic growth and new businesses, tourism and commuting opportunities.
The service could be fully operational in the early 2030s.
