The Peterborough Humane Society is less than 6 months away from moving into their new home.
However, they’re turning to the community for help in getting over the last hurdle of fundraising.
The new centre is on budget, but the Humane Society is looking to raise the final $3-million needed to complete the shelter.
The centre, which is currently under construction on Technology Drive, will be over 24,000 square feet. The Humane Society says the shelter will include an animal adoption and education centre and a publicly accessible spay and neuter clinic.
It will also feature Canada’s first Dog Rehabilitation Centre, created in partnership with the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society.
