STORM COVERAGE: US hydro workers helping recovery efforts in Peterborough

Peterborough is getting some help from our neighbours down south to help get power restored.

Hydro One says a number of hydro workers are coming to Canada from the US to help restore power in parts of Ontario. Senior Media Relations Advisor Tiziana Baccega Rosa says there’s lots of support.

Otonabee Ward Councillor Lesley Parnell tweeted this morning that there are almost 100 hydro workers in Peterborough from Alabama as restoration efforts continue.

At last check, roughly 30,000 customers are still without power in the region.
