Advanced polling numbers ahead of Thursday’s provincial election have been released.
In the Peterborough-Kawartha riding, 12,312 ballots were cast during the 10-day advanced polling period. This represents about 10.4% of eligible voters, above the provincial average.
In Ontario, just over 1-million votes were were recorded, representing about 9.9% of voters in the province. That number is also up nearly 7% from the 2018 provincial election.
Running locally in Peterborough-Kawartha is:
Dave Smith – PC Party of Ontario (incumbent),
Greg Dempsey – Ontario Liberal Party,
Jen Deck – Ontario NDP,
Robert Gibson – Green Party of Ontario,
Tom Marazzo – Ontario Party,
Rebecca Quinnell – New Blue.
