A Ontario woman who lost her sight at the age of 50 is taking part in a tandem bike ride to help raise funds for further research.
We caught up with Amber Needham as she was finishing up her first of six weeks on the road.
Amber told us she is hoping to raise $80,000 during her journey and how that money will be used.
The six week tour will wrap up in Toronto on August 20th.
Amber has also written a book called the Blind Girl Sees which is all about her journey, with proceeds from books sales also going towards research.
Details about Ambers book can be found at: https://www.amberneedham.com/?fbclid=IwAR3H-9bvNAxPUvd2dwOodnVF3-EWkakrTmzSCBdR1NWFWAsLE2XNFDh2JoY
