Overdose Awareness Day flags were raised at City Hall and the Police Station.
Mayor Diane Therrien was on-hand Tuesday and told the crowd that Peterborough Police are the first in Canada to fly one of these flags at their station.
Gail Parry of ‘Moms Stop Harm’ was there to see both flags go up and says it’s great that the city acknowledges this day.
Overdose Awareness Day is recognized on August 31st.
