The Mann Cup is now a best two out of three series after the Peterborough Lakers defeated the Langley Thunder 15-12 last night in front of about 3500 fans at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
Joe Resetarits had 2 goals and 6 assists for the Lakers while Shawn Evans notched 7 points, giving him 203 career Mann Cup points, which puts him in a tie with John Tavares for first place on the all-time Mann Cup points list.
Mark Matthews and Holden Cattoni picked up 3 goals and 3 assists each while Thomas Hoggarth scored a pair with singles going to Cory Vitarelli, Kiel Matisz, Taite Cattoni and Chad Tutton. Matt Vinc picked up the win in net with 45 saves.
Game 5 goes tonight at 8pm and it will be the third game of this series in three nights.
