The Mann Cup could be decided in Game 6 and if so, there is more at stake than just the trophy itself.
Civic pride is now tied up in the series, as Peterborough-Kawartha MPP Dave Smith and MLA for Langley East Megan Dykeman have entered into a bet in which the loser would have to wear the winning team’s jersey in their respective legislature.
Despite being down 3-2, Dykeman says she’s confident.
Dykeman even enlisted the support of B.C. Premier John Horgan.
Horgan has ties to our region, graduating from Trent University in 1983.
Dykeman says in all seriousness, lacrosse is huge her in region and loves the Mann Cup and what it means for Canadian sports.
