A live music fundraiser for a Peterborough school that provides Indigenous culture-based education for children aged 4 to 10 will be held on the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.
On Friday, September 30 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Crook and Coffer on Hunter Street West, local musicians Craig McEachern, Samara Johnson and Jacques Graveline will perform in support of the Sage and Sunshine School.
According to organizer Wanda Prince, the event came together rather quickly.
Graveline says besides being entertained, attendees will learn more about the important work of the school and that alone is well worth his giving of his time and talent.
Prince says the fundraiser has all the elements needed to make it well worth people’s support.
McEachern says he’s really looking for to his performance.
Admission is a suggested donation of $10. For more information on the Sage and Sunshine School, visit www.sageandsunshineschool.com.
