A 40-year male was taken into custody under the Mental Health Act after in incident in Jackson Park earlier this week. Peterborough Police say they were called to the park at around 2:30pm on Tuesday afternoon after receiving reports of a male in distress.
When they arrived, officers say they located a man with knife and small blow torch. It was later revealed that the male was also wanted on warrants for assault and mischief in connection with domestic related incidents.
After being taken into custody, the suspect was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for evaluation.
