Selwyn Volunteer Driver Bill Sova Nov 2022 – Bill goes the extra mile, decorating his vehicle for the holidays to bring extra joy to Community Care’s transportation clients
Volunteers are the lifeblood of Community Care Peterborough.
Those giving back deliver Meals on Wheels, drop off groceries, drive clients to appointments, call and visit with them, provide well-being check-ins, and more. Most rides take place locally and to neighbouring communities, but transportation to medical appointments outside of the County of Peterborough are also arranged.
We spoke with Donor Relations and Communications Lead Alicia Vandine.
Audio PlayerCCP has a current need for transportation volunteers to meet the growing demand for this program in our community. Volunteer drivers receive some reimbursement which is paid to them by the client to help offset the cost of gas and wear and tear on their vehicle.
