A Snowfall Warning has been put into effect for the Peterborough region.
Environment Canada is calling for snowfall accumulations of 15 to 20 cm. Peak snowfall rates of 2 to 4 cm per hour.
It is expected the snow will taper to flurries by Friday morning.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. The greatest snowfall amounts are expected over the higher terrain north of Lake Ontario.
