The third coming of Peterborough Performs: Musicians United To End Homelessness brought in the most money than it ever has.
That’s the word from United Way of Peterborough and District development and communication officer Sara Mountenay, who says the amount of dollars raised for local shelters and agencies assisting the homeless is still being tallied.
Mountenay says event, which saw 15 local music acts perform on two stages over four hours, allowed people to do something they could easily do in response to the ongoing homelessness crisis.
While the discussion around whether to stage the event again in 2024 is yet to take place, Mountenay can’t think of a reason not to.
