Sometimes it really is not about winning or losing, but how you play the game.
Hundreds of Petes supporters gathered at the Peterborough Airport on Saturday to welcome the team back from the Memorial Cup in Kamloops, B.C. following a loss in the semifinal to Seattle.
General Manager Mike Oke says the support has been incredible.
Head Coach Rob Wilson says hopefully the hockey world learned one thing from the Petes’ playoff run.
Wilson also appeared at the Memorial Cup as a player with the organization back in 1989.
President Dave Pogue says hopefully this momentum will continue.
Pogue, who is ending his tenure as president, says the entire experience has been remarkable.
