A man whose mother suffered from ALS, is trying to bring more awareness to the disease.
Mark Ricketts is going to try and raise money by rowing from 4:30 in the morning until 9:30 at night on June 21st.
Ricketts says the response so far has been great.
He says the rowing will take place between Trent and the Peterborough Lift Lock.
According to the latest stats, approximately 1,000 Canadians are diagnosed with A-L-S each year.
