This Monday’s Thanksgiving holiday will shut down some City services and facilities while others will operate on holiday hours.
While there will be no change to the curbside collection of garbage, recycling and yard waste, the City-County landfill and the Household Hazardous Waste Depot will be closed.
Peterborough City Hall is also closed Monday, as is social services on Charlotte Street, the Peterborough Public Library, the Art Gallery of Peterborough and all city-operated child care centres.
Peterborough Transit, meanwhile, will operate on a holiday service schedule on Thanksgiving Monday.
The Sport and Wellness Centre will be open Monday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Also open Monday, noon to 5 p.m., is the Peterborough Museum and Archives. And the Peterborough Marina will be open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. – the last day of operations for the 2023 season.
Oldies 96.7/Freq 90.5 will not be publishing regular news on Monday but will resume regular coverage on Tuesday.
