It was the final game of 2023 for the Petes and the Steelheads, and the final game of a home and home between the two teams.
In the previous meeting, the Petes fell to the Steelheads in Mississauga, and were looking to change the momentum by extinguishing their six game losing streak before heading out on on the road to kick off 2024.
