Peterborough Junior Achievement’s Business Hall of Fame will welcome 14 new inductees this spring.
On Wednesday at Venture North in downtown Peterborough, the class of 2024 was revealed before a large gathering. The inductees are Tim Barrie (Merit Precision Limited), John Cunningham (Community Alternative Ashburnham Funeral Home) Gwyneth James (Silverthorn Management Consulting), Richard Labelle (The UK Shoppe), Jill and Robert Staples (Staples Maple Syrup), Jeannine Taylor (KawarthaNOW), Nicole Truman (Fox Law), Cora Whittington (Golden Pathways Consulting), and Andrew Winslow, Chris Winslow, Mike Winslow, Steve Gerolamy and Tom Gerolamy (Winslow Gerolamy Motors).
Labelle, who has guided The UK Shoppe to 16 years in business, says his induction came as a huge and most welcome surprise.
Taylor, meanwhile, says it’s not lost on her that young people, particularly women, look to established business leaders for guidance and inspiration.
Junior Achievement president and CEO John McNutt concurs.
The inductees will be formally inducted May 23rd at The Venue.
