
In an exciting development for the Peterborough St. Patrick’s Day Parade, organizer Tim Burke announced on Thursday that Neil Sanderson, the drummer for Three Days Grace and a Peterborough native, has been named the honorary parade marshal for the 2024 celebration.
As marshal, Sanderson will lead the 21st annual parade down George Street, beginning at 2pm from City Hall.
Burke shared the backstory behind the decision, revealing that he reached out to Sanderson a few months ago via Facebook, asking if he would consider taking on the role. To Burke’s delight, Sanderson responded within hours, expressing not only his willingness but also his honor to be part of the parade.

Last year, Dan O’Toole served as the honorary marshal, setting a precedent for inviting well-known personalities each year.
