Several local developers have been named to Mayor Jeff Leal’s task force on housing development.
Paul Bennett of Ashburnham Realty, Brian Fenton of Peterborough Homes, Hans Jain of Atria, Hope Lee of the Peterborough Housing Corporation and Brad Smith of AON join Chelsea Combot of Ontario Aboriginal Housing Services, Susan Zambonin of Habitat for Humanity and Rebecca Schillemat of the local homebuilders’ association on the task force.
The group has been directed to present a report to Mayor Leal this year, listing recommendations that will help the city build 4,700 new housing units by 2031 – a commitment Mayor Leal made earlier to the Province.
