A blast of Old Man Winter is about to hit the Peterborough area.
Environment Canada has issued a weather travel advisory, ahead of what’s expected to be 5-10 centimetres of snow starting Thursday afternoon.
Officials say travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather and visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
According to the forecast, heavy snow will taper to light flurries through the evening.
