A harbinger of spring will be very much in evidence at Peterborough Square on March 10th in the form of Seedy Sunday.
The 16th annual seed sale and swap will again offer the knowledge, tools and resources that will help your garden flourish. Featured will be a diverse selection of locally grown heirloom vegetable, flower and herb seeds, vermicomposting supplies and bulbs.
Organizer Jillian Bishop, who owns urbantomato, says Seedy Sunday checks a few boxes for garden growers of both the long time and novice variety.
Noting last year’s event drew some 1,500 people, Bishop says Seedy Sunday has wide appeal.
Bishop notes there is a benefit to buying seeds grown locally.
Seedy Sunday runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the mall’s lower level. For more information, visit www.urbantomato.ca/learn/seedy-sunday-peterborough.
