It might have been the battle of the basement dwellers of the OHL Eastern Conference with the Petes facing the Niagara Ice Dogs.
The Petes were looking to keep their playoff hopes alive with a win and to keep pace with the Barrie Colts, while the Ice Dogs were looking for a win for a chance to not be officially eliminated from playoff contention.
Both teams also looking to end losing streaks, Niagara losing 7 in a row and the Petes dropping their last two.
