
More than three years after fire destroyed Sayers Foods in Apsley, a new grocery store has risen from the ashes, with a ‘soft’ opening set for this Monday (March 25th) at 9 a.m.
Store manager Jeff Sayers says with an occupancy permit just recently secured, the opening of the new 14,000 square foot store marks the culmination of a long process that was punctuated with delays and setbacks.
Sayers adds that store not only served local residents’ food shopping needs but was also an important community hub that the new store will build on.
