Residents gazed skyward as total solar eclipse hit region yesterday afternoon

Earth-bound audiences turned skyward as the sun moved directly behind the moon, plunging parts of Canada into the darkness of a total solar eclipse.

We were able to catch the perspective of some onlookers.

The next total Canadian solar eclipse will occur in August 2044, with totality in parts of Alberta, B-C and the territories.
