While honouring the achievements and successes of longtime farmers is the aim of the Peterborough County Agricultural Wall of Fame, there is a secondary purpose, albeit one that’s not as immediately evident.
Each plaque displayed in the Agricultural Heritage Building at the Keene museum tells a story – a tale of how plain hard work and a determination to succeed can, and often has, equated to success in what remains a very challenging field.
For young farmers who are introduced to inductees’ stories, their familiarity with inductees’ stories can prove to be very inspiring as they navigate their own farming journey.
